From breed ‘Amsterdammer’ to Yup, this neighborhood now has many faces. The Jordaan is and remains one of the oldest and coziest ‘gezelligste’ neighbourhoods of Amsterdam. Here we speak ‘Amsterdams’, sing in brown bars, eat the best ‘apple pie’ and drink a beer on tables covered with carpet. We shop and chat on Monday at the market squares, Saturday’s farmers market, we marvel at the nice streets and get lost in hidden gardens.
To discover the most you go out with our cheerful guide who knows exactly which doors to open in order to suddenly stand in a wonderfully hidden garden. These courtyards take you back in time and show you a completely different view of the city.
But also for the delicacies like ox sausage and herring you can visit these streets during the day.
In the evening the streets fill with tables of the restaurants, the terraces are filled with the evening sun and if you’re still in the mood late in the evening you can end up in typical brown (or red;-) bars to dance and sing.
